The resident who is selected will take part in a four-week program—a week of preparation, two weeks in Austin, and a week preparing a report to publish in Texas Family Physician magazine. The focus will be on medical education and, specifically, what policy changes could be proposed to increase the number of graduates entering family medicine programs.
