For those of you who will be joining us for the Texas Family Medicine Symposium, thank you for registering! We are looking forward to seeing you at this inaugual event. If you wish to attend and have not yet registered, on-site registration will be available. See information below.
Registration Schedule
If you arrive on Thursday, June 4, you can check in at registration on from 5-7 p.m. in the foyer of the San Antonio Ballroom.
Registration opens as scheduled on Friday, June 5, at 6:30 a.m., in the foyer of the San Antonio Ballroom. The conference begins Friday morning at 7 a.m. with our CME breakfast lecture. To access TAFP registration and the general session from the lobby level of the hotel, follow the signs to the San Antonio Ballroom, one level below the lobby.
Please note that the SAM Workshops are SOLD OUT. Unless pre-registered for the SAM, all attendees, including on-site registrants, will attend the TexFamMed general CME lectures on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. To verify you are registered for a SAM Workshop, please call TAFP at (512) 329-8666 ext. 136.
Download the TAFP Mobile App
TAFP has a mobile app that members can keep on their smart phones and tablets year-round. With each symposia that TAFP holds, new materials will be loaded into the app, making things easier for members and attendees. It includes schedules, faculty information, and CME slides and handouts. Download it now to make navigating TexFamMed a breeze.
Wi-Fi will the available in the ballroom for free to access the app. Search TAFP in your app store and install the app for free. You can also download the app to a computer by going to https://events.crowdcompass.com/tafp. Once inside the app, click the 2015 TexFamMed logo to access materials for this week’s events.
Note: If you downloaded the TAFP app during Interim Session and C. Frank Webber Lectureship or 2014 Primary Care Summits, just open the app and click the TexFamMed event icon.
Syllabus Materials
Printed Course Syllabus - If you did not pre-order a copy of the printed syllabus with your registration, printed syllabi are available for purchase for $30. You have access to course syllabus materials through the mobile device app and at www.tafp.org/professional-development/tfms/cme. A limited number of print syllabi will be available for purchase at the registration desk for those who did not pre-order. We recommend you arrive early to purchase a copy.
Online Course Syllabus - You will have free access to course syllabus materials through the mobile app and at www.tafp.org/professional-development/tfms/cme. Individual PDFs of the slides and handouts are available as hyperlinks following each lecture title. These documents will be available from Tuesday, June 2, to Monday, June 15.
Attire
Attire for TexFamMed is business casual. TAFP encourages you to bring a jacket or sweater as temperatures in the meeting rooms can fluctuate.

Hotel Information
All TexFamMed events are held at the La Cantera Hill Country Resort, located at 16641 La Cantera Parkway in San Antonio. Directions to the hotel can be found here. Check-in for hotel guests at the La Cantera Hill Country Resort is available at 4 p.m. on your arrival date. Remember: Self-parking at the La Cantera Hill Country Resort is free and valet parking starts at $26 for overnight with in-and-out privileges.
The La Cantera Hill Country resort underwent a major renovation this past year and you’ll find a variety of activities for you and your family to enjoy while on property. This includes:

Spa
Kids club
Multiple dining options
Other nearby activities
Due to the rainy spring in Central Texas, the resort pools’ renovations are not completed. The main resort pool is open for your enjoyment, but please be advised some aspects of the pool deck will not be accessible. Food and beverages will be available at the pool through Primero Cantina, the poolside restaurant.
