Download the TAFP Mobile App
TAFP now has a mobile app that members can keep on their smart phones and tablets year-round. With each symposia that TAFP holds, new materials will be loaded into the app, making things easier for members and attendees. Download it now to make navigating next week’s 2015 Annual Session and Primary Care Summit a breeze.
To download the app to your smartphone or tablet, go to the app store and search for TAFP. Android users can search for TAFP in the Play store. You can also download the app to a computer by going to https://events.crowdcompass.com/tafp. Once inside the app, click the 2015 ASPCS logo to access materials for the week’s events.
Note: If you downloaded the TAFP app during Interim Session and C. Frank Webber Lectureship or Texas Family Medicine Symposium, just click on the app and then the ASPCS event icon.
Syllabus Materials
Printed Course Syllabus – The registration form provided an opportunity to purchase a printed syllabus in advance for $25. A limited number will be available for purchase on site for $30. We recommend arriving early to purchase a copy if you did not pre-order.
Online Course Syllabus – You will have free access to course syllabus materials through the mobile app and at www.tafp.org/professional-development/aspcs/cme. Individual PDFs of the slides and handouts are available as hyperlinks following each lecture title. These documents will be available from Tuesday, Nov. 10, to Friday, Dec. 4.

The hotel has free self-parking in the “Town Center garage” located on Lake Robbins Drive, just west of the hotel and Six Pines Drive. The garage just in front of the hotel labeled “East Garage” is not complimentary. From the Town Center garage, you will enter the hotel on the 3rd floor and can take either the elevators or escalators down to the lobby level to check in.
TAFP CME Schedule
Breakfast with Exhibitors will be on Friday, 7 - 8 a.m., in Town Center North on the 1st Floor and the general session begins on Friday at 8 a.m. in Town Center South next door. Saturday session begins with a CME breakfast lecture at 6:50 a.m. and Sunday begins with a CME breakfast at 7 a.m. Be sure to pick up your registration materials prior to attending a CME session.
TAFP Exhibit Hall
Don’t forget to visit the TAFP Exhibit Hall in Town Center North to learn more about products and services available to your practice, and to play the treasure hunt for the chance to win a $100 gift certificate. Treasure hunt instructions and your playing cards will be inside your registration packet. The hall is open on Friday 7 a.m. - 4 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.

SAM Workshop Attendees

Wednesday – SAM Workshop on Childhood Illness – 1 - 6 p.m.
Thursday – SAM Workshop on Care of the Vulnerable Elderly – 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Friday – SAM Workshop on Heart Failure – 1 - 6 p.m.
All SAM Workshops will be held on the 3rd level in the Montgomery Ballroom. Please check in at least 15 minutes prior the start time. If you would like to confirm your registration for a SAM workshop, please call (512) 329-8666.
Get a Massage and Support the Foundation
The TAFP Foundation will offer 15-minute chair massages and 60-minute full-body massages during ASPCS. The chair massages will be given in Booth 103 inside TAFP’s Exhibit Hall in Town Center North. Full-body massages will be given in Shenandoah and Spring on the 3rd level of the hotel. A 15-minute massage is $30 and a 60-minute full-body massage is $85, with 50 percent of the proceeds benefiting the TAFP Foundation. Table massages are available by appointment only, 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. on Friday and 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Saturday. Chair massages are available during Exhibit Hall hours. Cash only. Interested attendees can sign up at the massage booth inside the Exhibit Hall. You will be given a ticket confirming your time slot and payment. That ticket will then be presented to the massage therapist at the booth or the room at the assigned time.
Conference Attire
All CME and business meetings are business casual. This year’s President’s Party is also casual. Seeing as we are in the heart of football season, TAFP incoming president Ajay Gupta, MD, encourages everyone to wear their favorite sports team attire to Saturday’s President’s Party.
Meeting rooms can often be cold and we recommend you bring a light jacket or sweater to ensure your comfort inside the general session.
