This year’s Physician of the Year award recipient is the epitome of a country doc. Hailing from Eagle Lake, Texas, Thomas returned to his hometown after residency to practice full-scope, rural medicine alongside his physician father. It’s now 31 years later and Thomas wouldn’t change a thing.
