TAFP Foundation scholarship to honor late research advocate

Former residents and students of Cassie Murphy-Cullen, Ph.D., have begun fundraising for a scholarship in her memory through the TAFP Foundation. Murphy-Cullen trained residents in research for many years as Assistant Professor and Director of Behavioral Medicine and Research in the Department of Family Medicine at UT Southwestern and Charlton Methodist Family Practice Residency Program. She received numerous awards for research and teaching over the years and was involved in over 80 publications, research grants and presentations.

When fully funded, the scholarship will be used to assist resident researchers in attending conferences to present their research. Donations can be sent to the TAFP Foundation, 12012 Technology Blvd, Ste. 200, Austin, TX 78727. Be sure to note that the donation is designated for the Cassie Murphy-Cullen, Ph.D. Scholarship.
