TAFP members elected to national positions

Two Texas family physicians were elected to national leadership positions at the AAFP National Conference of Special Constituencies and Annual Leadership Forum April 23-25 in Kansas City, Mo. Tricia Elliott, M.D., F.A.A.F.P., of Houston was elected to be one of two minority co-conveners of next year’s NCSC event and was also elected to serve as a Special Constituency Alternate Delegate to the AAFP Congress of Delegates. Adrian Billings, M.D., Ph.D., of Alpine was elected to serve as a Young Physician Section Delegate to the American Medical Association.

NCSC is AAFP’s premiere policy developing event addressing issues specific to women, minorities, new physicians, international medical graduates and GLBTs. ALF gathers state chapter leaders to hone their knowledge and skills to meet the challenges of leadership.
