Submit your video to the I Am A Family Doctor video contest

Calling all family physicians, family medicine residents, and medical students: TAFP has launched the “I Am A Family Doctor” video contest and invites you to submit a short video telling the world why you like being a family physician or what you hope your practice will be like.

The video contest is part of the larger launch of TAFP’s new website www.BeAFamilyDoc.com, an interactive forum to educate the public at large about the specialty and encourage medical students to pursue a career in family medicine. The site hosts TAFP’s main I Am A Family Doctor video that highlights innovative family medicine practices around the state. Four satellite videos delve further into these practice profiles, letting the physicians tell why they love their practice and how they have made family medicine their own.

Video contest submissions should resemble the satellite videos in length, and could take whatever tone—funny or serious—the physician or future physician wants. Enter as an individual, or pool the resources of a group. Top videos will be displayed on www.BeAFamilyDoc.com and winners will be chosen at TAFP’s 61st Annual Session and Scientific Assembly in San Antonio. First place will win a $500 American Express gift card, second place will win a $250 American Express gift card, and third place will win a $100 gift card.
