TAFP members complete TMA Leadership College

posted 05.28.14

Congratulations to these four TAFP members for completing the Texas Medical Association’s Leadership College: Elizabeth Chmelik, M.D., of Austin; Tracey Haas, D.O., M.P.H., of Austin; Jake Margo, M.D., of Rio Grande City; and Michelle Rodriguez, M.D., of San Marcos.

The program was created in 2010 to create “strong and sustainable physician leadership with organized medicine,” according to TMA. Participants, usually physicians in their first eight years of practice and under the age of 40, take over 40 hours of class to hone their leadership skills and become resources for their communities and local leaders.

Applications for the 2015 program are currently being accepted and are due July 2, 2014. For more information, visit the TMA website at www.texmed.org/TMA_Leadership_College.aspx.
