Greg Fuller, M.D., to run
for AMA alternate delegate

TAFP member Greg Fuller, M.D., of Keller has put his name in the running to represent the Texas Medical Association as an alternate delegate to the American Medical Association. Elections will be held at TMA’s annual TexMed meeting on May 14, 2011. Fuller is a private-practice physician at North Hills Family Medicine in Keller, Texas.

“I decided to run because I felt like we needed more full-time practicing primary care physicians on the AMA delegation to share our primary care experiences and how that relates to AMA’s policies,” Fuller says. “Primary care physicians need to participate.”

Fuller was awarded his medical degree by the University of Arkansas and completed a family medicine residency at Baptist Medical Center in Kansas City, Mo. He is a member of TAFP, AAFP, and the Tarrant County Chapter of TAFP, and a member of AMA, TMA, and the Tarrant County Medical Society. He served as president of TCMS in 2007-2008, is currently chair of their board of trustees. Fuller currently serves as a delegate to TMA.

“I hope to be able to bring the perspective of a private-practice primary care physician to the discussion about medical care for the future, especially as we face changes in the coming years. Primary care needs to be at the table to be able to discuss those issues.”
