Researchers have until next Friday, May 14, to submit an application and abstract for the 2010 Student, Resident, and Community Physician Poster Competition to be held at the 61st Annual Session and Scientific Assembly in San Antonio on July 23.
Presented by the TAFP Foundation and TAFP Commission on Public Health, Clinical Affairs, and Research, the annual poster competition invites all medical students, family medicine residents, and family physicians to display research posters in two categories: primary research and evidence-based review. A third category, case reports, is restricted to students only.
Resident winners will receive cash prizes, and students and community physicians will receive plaques. The prizes are funded by the TAFP Foundation and members of the commission volunteer to review entries and judge displays at Annual Session.
Make sure your school, residency program, or practice is represented for its work in family medicine research. Download the application form here and send it to TAFP before May 14. Also, view the full guidelines for criteria for abstract submission and a submission checklist.
