TAFP Foundation Cocktail Cruise benefiting the Student Interest Endowment
Join your friends and colleagues on a cocktail cruise on the Paseo del Rio. Enjoy appetizers and cocktails as you cruise to support the Student Interest Endowment. Get your tickets for this special event for a special cause. All proceeds will benefit the Student Interest Endowment.
The Student Interest Endowment was created in 2012 to begin building a source for support for preceptorship scholarships. The previously state-funded Texas Statewide Family Medicine Preceptorship Program is an opportunity to expose pre-clinical medical students to the joys of a career in family medicine and is critical to addressing Texas’ shortage of primary care physicians. Attend this reception to celebrate the awarding of the first preceptorship scholarships and show your support for family medicine and the future of health care in Texas.
Tickets are $50 and can be purchased at the registration desk in the Grand Hyatt San Antonio.
TAFP Student, Resident, and Community Physician Poster Competition
Sponsored by the TAFP Foundation and TAFP’s Commission on Public Health, Clinical Affairs, and Research, TAFP’s annual poster competition provides an opportunity for family medicine students, residents, and community physicians to display their research. Exhibits are designed to demonstrate a specific research activity, evidence-based review, or case report, with an emphasis on practice-based research. Find more information here.
