Receive free SBIRT training May 5-6 in Dallas

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration Center for Substance Abuse Treatment presents “Understanding Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment: Foundations, Implementation, and Clinical Practices,” May 5–6, 2011, in Dallas, Texas.

Free of charge, this training will bring together physicians interested in using SBIRT in their settings and substance abuse professionals who desire a keener understanding of the model and how to work with referral sources that use SBIRT.

In addition to providing an introduction to SBIRT, the training will address:

  • Integrating substance use disorder services with primary care and other services,
  • Essential clinical components of SBIRT, and
  • Program administration implications of SBIRT.
