TAFP is co-sponsoring a course May 10 in Austin for physicians wishing to examine and issue medical certificates to interstate truck drivers. HPV information to urge patients to vaccinate |
A letter recently signed by AAFP President Reid Blackwelder, M.D., and other organization presidents urges physicians to recommend that patients vaccinate against HPV. The letter calls the human papillomavirus virus vaccine ‘cancer prevention’ and includes facts and statistics that can be shared with patients when recommending that they be vaccinated. AHRQ resources for physicians and patients |
With May being National Stroke Awareness Month, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality is pushing its heart disease resources for both physicians and patients. The Treatment Options website includes educational materials for patients on heart conditions, diabetes, pediatric health, and much more. AHRQ’s clinician website provides information and research summaries for treating a variety of health issues.
