Welcome to the inaugural TAFP Products & Services e-newsletter, a monthly communication to highlight products, services, and member benefits from TAFP and AAFP, and from TAFP’s partners.
July's e-mail spotlights opportunities that abound at TAFP's 2011 Annual Session and Scientific Assembly in Dallas July 27-31, through the Exhibit Hall and the Annual Session sponsors. In future editions, we’ll focus on other products and services important to family physicians — practice management tools and resources, educational opportunities, public health materials, and more. For more information, go to the Products & Services section of TAFP’s website, www.tafp.org/resources/products.

Our Annual Session sponsors offer an array of services |
Each year, companies and agencies in the medical industry sponsor different parts of Annual Session to reach out to the family physicians of Texas. This helps keep your registration costs low. This year’s sponsors are: CardioNexus, a company dedicated to reducing cardiovascular disease through early detection and prevention, particularly through its flagship product CardioHealth® Station; Dairy MAX, a non-profit organization that promotes dairy’s health benefits as supported by the U.S. dietary guidelines; the TB/HIV/STD/Viral Hepatitis Unit of the Texas Department of State Health Services, a section of DSHS that provides HIV/STD education, surveillance and epidemiologic reports, and medication and supplies to Texas patients to prevent, treat, and control the spread of HIV and other communicable diseases; and the Texas Medical Liability Trust, a not-for-profit owned by its physician policyholders that provides coverage against health care liability claims.

It’s easy to play: Find the booths displaying our Annual Session icon, a green apple, and write the booth numbers on your green Treasure Hunt game card.
