New year, new month, new Member of the Month
Happy New Year! We’re kicking off 2017 by sharing a conversation with Dr. Adrian Billings of Alpine. Billings is ardent about working with, living in, and caring for rural communities. In his profile, he touches on several things that led him to become a rural family physician. Those things may or may not include a rabies scare, a phone book, and a family doc available on a Saturday afternoon.

There’s no place like a primary care medical home
Research has shown that when patients have access to primary care physicians they receive better care at lower costs. The TAFP Commission on Health Care Services and Managed Care has produced a report defining the qualities and characteristics of a high-value, patient-centered family medicine practice in hopes you can use these criteria in your practice.
