Help recruit the family doctors of tomorrow by donating
After TAFP took over the Texas Statewide Family Medicine Preceptorship Program in 2012, the TAFP Foundation began raising funds to help place medical students with physician preceptors to learn about the specialty first hand. The Student Interest Endowment was created to award scholarships to medical students interested in family medicine. The Foundation has pledged to double the impact of donations made to the endowment during the Ignite2015 campaign. Read more about Ignite2015 and donate at www.tafp.org/foundation/ignite2015.

TAFP Foundation research grant applications due June 2
The TAFP Foundation provides financial support towards office-based research to benefit the specialty. The Foundation Research Grants Committee reviews all grant applications based upon its relevance to family medicine, quality of the study design, appropriateness of data analysis, and cost versus benefit to family medicine.
