TMF Health Quality Institute has partnered with the Texas Medical Association and the Texas Osteopathic Medical Association to present the Texas Physician Practice Quality Improvement Award program. Observe National Immunization Awareness Month in August and alert patients to the lifetime need for immunizations
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention observes National Immunization Awareness Month in August and encourages physicians to remind family, friends, co-workers, and the community to catch up on their vaccinations. The CDC cites that though vaccines have eradicated or significantly reduced the incidence of vaccine-preventable diseases, people still die from vaccine-preventable diseases. AAFP News Now: AAFP needs you to help veterans obtain benefits
According to the Department of Veterans Affairs, there is a backlog of 558,000 disability claims for U.S. veterans, in part due to more complex claims from Iraq and Afghanistan veterans. AAFP encourages members to help their patients who are veterans fill out disability benefit questionnaires to speed the processing of veterans’ disability compensation and pension claims.
