TAFP launches HIT Toolkit for Family Physicians
Learn how you can get $40,000 - $60,000 in HIT incentive payments
Your Academy has made available a library of tools and resources to help family physicians access health information technology incentive payments under the federal stimulus bill. From defining “meaningful use” and determining your EHR readiness, to utilizing Regional Extension Center services, the toolkit contains everything you need to implement, upgrade, or improve your electronic health record and earn up to $44,000 - $63,750 in payments through Medicare or Medicaid. The California AFP developed the resources with grant support from The Physicians Foundation, and TAFP staff tailored them to Texas. Check it out at www.tafp.org/practice-resources/technology.
